A few weeks ago, Indigenous youth ran from Standing Rock Reservation (on the border of North & South Dakota) all the way to Washington D.C., to deliver petitions to President Biden. Through collected signatures and a large rally, they called on Biden to shut down the Dakota Access and Line 3 pipelines (DAPL).

On April 9th, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers pulled back from stopping the flow of oil through the Dakota Access Pipeline.

U.S. Army Corps claimed they needed more time, allowing the pipeline to continue operating illegally. The nation now calls on Biden to use his authority to shut down DAPL. District Judge James Boasberg will make the final decision about the future of the pipeline on April 19th - unless citizens push President Biden to act first. Along with immediate reassurance from a potential spill, stopping the threats of DAPL is an essential step in preserving our precious land and water.

Join the #BuildBackFossilFree movement and help amplify the voices of all the indigenous youth and climate activists working for a healthy future.
